Chapter 3: Blazing Spark
By: GirlDom (c)

The scabbard to my back, bearing a dragon blade transforms into a coat of glossy black
with the rest of my exaggerate attire as I attack, hammering the razor edge down across the nail with a crack.  I leave an awakening impact.

Zion howls shook me so.  Then his body coiled up within the cover of the raining leaves and my body was let go.

"My talon you have split it!  Oh, how that will not utterly do!  Naughty little girl!  Shame on you!"

"I was here to aid!  Save you from that man!  Now I only wish to harm you!  And harm you I can!"

Zion snarled and hissed-- Jeered with anything but bliss, though I dismissed his impassioned growls.  I was far too focused on landing back down over the awaiting ground and coming out of my twist.

I landed abruptly.  My heart jolted nearly to a stop once my torso jerked to a lively, unprepared halt.

I fell so far, yet I broke no bones.  My weapon of gothic structure I managed to keep a lock on when in my supernatural zone.

Firmly I held it outward like a bladed wing at my crouching side.  Truly it was epic and no weight it applied. Like a feather it felt and fondly I relied upon its useful abide.
The surreal sensation I felt in my core I adored.  It lifted me back up to my feet with so much more power in store.

Here in this world I was stronger.  I stood for a moment in collective ponder.  Then I saw Cassius remained unconscious at my side and I collected no longer.

I jerked down, glimpsing back into the roof of leaves as I did with a frown.  Zion was hidden somewhere or at least that was all I could tell from the ground.

I rolled my imprisoner over, slow and calm.  I kept myself stable, preparing for an ultimate display of harm in which would alarm.

His body turned over limp.  His face was so numb.  Blood painted his lifeless features.  I didn't know what I could possibly do!  I felt so dumb.  Then I took my thumb and ran it over his gash that seeped a great sum.

"Cassius," I spoke at first composed then I couldn't take it and imposed the eerie trail of silence with great oppose and pinched his nose for so long—lord only knows.

If this were really a dream—if all was false, make-believe and nothing as it seemed then why does this man in my touch bleed from the seams of this laceration so supreme?

Can one die in this imaginary world of horrors?  Is there nothing to aid this wound?  No restorers?

The plasma I can feel, wetting my fingertips.  It is surely real.  Then my conscious rips when Zion dips back down from the raining trees and ensnares my hips.  I then part my lips as my pulse again skips from the whips.

"You are mine little girl and mine alone!  I will enslave you to my pleasurable tasks until you have grown into my queen of terrors, blood and bone. By the end of this my darling a jaded crown thy shall don," spoke the beast in grumbling tones.

Zion's fingers pinch my waist.  I grow exhausted of being embraced.  I'm tired of this nonstop action!  It's too fast-paced!  I swing my blade around as I remain braced and lifted high with distaste.

The dragon blade I stab towards its furry backhand, but the beast blows it away with his lion tail used as a fan.  Clearly this thing I could not outman with any plan as my only weapon is forced free of my hand to plummet back to land.

"I want nothing to do with you or any of this!  Release my now, I do insist!"  I tried to beat his hand that coiled into a cage while Zion indulged himself with a future reminisce.  "Now, now, dear miss," the monster spoke with a hiss.

Like a snippy trinket I detest within his bared grasp.  "Let me go!  I mean it!"  I roared as his basked.

"Relax little flower. For so much danger does this world shower," he says as I glower at him-- a tower.  His scent unlike Cassius lingers so sour.

I'm trapped.  I'm doomed!  I'm huddled now inside this enshrouded cocoon of little room as he continues to label me after roses and even more blooms.  So hopeless, I'm overtaken with gloom then I hear a big wide boom.  What was that!?  My supposed, want-to-be groom?  Either way it renders this tomb loser for me to oversee a fiery fume that oozes into the palms cage with a warm perfume I presume.

"HELP!" I scream.  "I require aid!" I then see the fire outside begin to beam.  Suddenly Zion's boney body vibrates viciously and mean.  Then a trail of words stream from a forth party with rather high self-esteem.

"My, dear me!  What have we?"  the words buzzed like a bee.

"The prince of dreams is down in thanks to you, you big oaf-clown!"

"Sad it is!  Sad indeed!  Cassie you Casanova, what have you fallen, to free?  Heh, let us see," the perky voice sang out with chirpy notes it seized.

While Zion is distracted with this flamboyant guest, I race over to a cease half-tripping over my always changing dress.  I'm impressed.  This person has made the beasts hand rest and I am no longer suppressed as I leap through the narrow gap like a chick falling out of the nest.

Down again I collapse, through the air I fall.  How many more times must I go through this?  Will my feet ever recognize ground at all?  The fear of impact is beginning to dull.  Yet still I feel the need to always call.

Zion's breathing cracks with disapproval, but by then I snatch my sword from the earth in instant removal.

I could not have landed in a better place—an inch away from Cassius I stand with hardly any space.  Lucky I was that I had not landed upon him in this case.  But I pay no attention to his beautiful and still face, for I cannot afford to waste any chance that I have to race, away from this place once more for everyone's sakes!

I don't flee far.  As it is merely a second before my feet tread through tar and I am stuck in this dense liquid so bizarre.  Then a light sends Zion away—a light so bright it's like a star.

"I'll be back for you child. I will return. Forever in my core a desire for you I yearn!"  Zion spoke before gone, then the guest had its turn.  "Come back and burn then
I'll put your ashes in a nice little urn, you no good worm!"

Zion was already out of sight, but his scowling growls still lingered.  …Only after they faded, emerged a peculiar pixie-- firefly-like figured.

I was still stuck in the muck without any more luck. "Yuck."

The fairy hovered towards me.  A little spark it was that then rewards me with a tug of liberation.  With as much strength as a horde it stored.  The insect my eyes then explored as I could no longer ignore the dominance it had over the giant monster.  A simply "thanks" it did not afford.

I thank him anyway, really what more can I truly say?  Then I begin again to slip back away if I may, but before I can even turn fully, I'm frozen within a flaming aura.  "Great…" I pout.  "…more dismay."

The pixie holds me in its net of sparks.  And if I touch it, the burns leave marks.

"Ouch!" I screech from a singe I gain when I reach, testing the fiery threads that all the more teach me that this place is stuck with me like a bloody leech.

"Are you after my too, gnat?!"  I snap, all the more blistering my hands on this blazing trap.

The tiny spark flutters closer and a little man I find is now my new enforcer.

His stern little eyes burned in orange and blue hues, much like the flames. Then on his forehead something emerges—little lava veins and he starts calling me names.  There's something said like "a comely-blundering-dame"?

The pixie spits off, a mile a minute.  I can hardly make sense of its words turning squeakier by second.  Freedom of his insults—I cannot win it.

Huffy, it ranted, spraying hot sparkles from its mouth.  The flickers of its rage, I knew not what about.

I could not deny its livid blusters in puffy clusters expressed much fluster as dangerously as he could evilly muster.  Yet cuteness I found only in its smoldering luster.

Finally its string of words no longer mixed and the "pix" shifted to fix a finger back to Cassius, where his body still lied.  The raging firefly undoubtedly met the end of its wick.

"Tell me what you've caused!"  The bug-man paused.

"He's dead because of you!  Now tell me what you do?!"

"Why are you so special? What makes you so rare!?  Why the hell would Cassius even seem to care!? His defeat was so unfair!"  He brought his hands together in a pair, positioning his arms and chest square.  Grin at his adorableness, I do not dare.

Remorseful expressions captivated his eyes.  They expanded over the fallen prince ever so wide in size.  "His demise will not be despised in vain.  For all in Somnia will forever remember his name.  Oh, the pain!  Such a great shame.  It's only you devil-girl who is to blame!  Why could he now simply be lame?"  "What's the matter with your brain?!" I say hardly sane. "Have you even checked to see if he breathes before you came!?"

My eyes stare like daggers at the ant.  Hopefully he'll spare me another colossal rant.
I can't stand his chant.  I'd rather endure the whimpers of a wild infant!

I believe I've actually place him in shock as now the fairy refuses to talk and begins to walk through the air with a grim sulk to where the angelic man remained but mere limp bulk.  And I could only gawk as time escaped us—tick, tick, tock.

"Well, does he live?" I ask as the zealous bug takes forever to accomplish its newly anointed task.

I turn lax when the pixie spins back around in the air with a teeny smile across its cheeks.  "His stubborn heart still beats.  You're fortunate, for if he were truly deceased I'd torture you for weeks!"

Such a strange little one, so protective over this Cassius like the man where his own son and angered with me even though there is nothing I had done.

The tangle of the nets fiery strings, begin to unravel into sparks of twirling streams.

Free now I am, but still I am lost.  Within this odd dream I am doomed to wander and everything is so crisscrossed.  To find a way back home I know shall come at a great coast.

That means it'll be a little bit till I can post Chapter 4.

Plus I've been trying to do a cover for ever chapter within the day I make the post so that'll take some extra time too since I'm juggling so many other "need-to-do" tasks at once.

Gosh, all of the sudden I'm super busy when just a month or two ago i was bored stiff!
